Building Futures Together: Colliers’ Ongoing Commitment to WHS Foundation

Updated: Aug 6

The Wakatipu High School Foundation (WHS Foundation) is proud to celebrate and thank Colliers Otago for their unwavering support and incredible generosity. This year, Colliers has once again demonstrated their commitment to our community with a $75,000 donation, bringing their total contributions since our inception in 2013 to an outstanding $760,000.

These funds are raised through Colliers’ renowned Latitude 45 South Lunch and Charity Auction, an annual event hosted by the Colliers Queenstown commercial team. From its humble beginnings as an idea for a client lunch 12 years ago, this exclusive, invitation-only event has flourished into a major fundraising occasion, now hosting over 80 clients and agents. The event’s ongoing success reflects Colliers’ deep commitment to giving back to the community in a meaningful way.

John Scobie, Managing Director of Colliers Otago, says:“Colliers Otago is extremely proud to support the WHS Foundation as part of our commitment to building stronger communities. We see supporting education and youth as core pillars of our business and believe in the importance of empowering the next generation. WHS is a place where young people can truly thrive, and partnering with the WHS Foundation creates meaningful, lasting impact and aligns closely with our values and purpose.”

The funds contributed by Colliers directly support key annual initiatives of the WHS Foundation. In particular, their generosity funds the Dux Scholarship and an Outward Bound experience for the Head Boy and Head Girl each year. This year, we are thrilled to introduce an additional Outward Bound opportunity for an ‘Emerging Spirit’ – a student showing extraordinary aspiration and potential.

We are deeply honoured to be one of the charities supported by Colliers. Their long-term commitment reflects their belief in the power of education and the importance of investing in our youth. Together, we are creating opportunities for students to thrive, achieve, and step into their futures with confidence.

From all of us at the WHS Foundation – thank you, Colliers, for standing with us for over a decade and helping shape a brighter future for our young people.
