What is the Awhi Fund?
Awhi means to help or support in Maori, and the Awhi Fund is an integral feature of Wakatipu High School.
The Awhi Fund ensures financial barriers do not constrain a student's participation in school-related activities or access to valuable resources. Support may be for uniforms, laptops, extra and co-curricular activities and trips, and educational assessments - ensuring all WHS students are able to Reach for their Heights.

Relax and take in the scenery from your Endeavour Cabin with sea views, twin king single beds and its own private ensuite bathroom, or head up to the main saloon and soak up the stories and history from the knowledgeable crew while enjoying delicious meals cooked by their onboard chef. Head out on short day walks into the native bush to fully appreciate the vibrant bird life and local fauna, visit the historic Norwegian whaling station at Prices Inlet, and the scenic reserve at Glory Cove.
Explore remote bays, rivers and inlets from a kayak or onboard their tender boat, or try your hand at fishing. At night, head to the top deck and luxuriate in the top deck hot tub while you watch the light show - the Milky way in an unspoiled night sky or, if you’re lucky, even the Aurora Australis.
